- Possess a valid NY State Drivers License
- A resident of Medford, NY

BECOMING A PROBATIONARY FIREFIGHTER
Upon being accepted into the position of a Probationary Medford Firefighter you will have to complete our mandatory 6 month Probationary firefighter period. During this time you are required to respond to calls for service within the Medford Fire District, attend training events, participate in Fire Department community events and you must obtain a valid Firefighter 1 certification through the Suffolk County Fire Rescue academy by the end of your probationary period.
